Relaxing
Sometimes you just need to get away from it all, we get it. A change of scenery, a boot full of indulgent food, time & space to revisit the important things in life. Remember to bring a good book!
The Crest will give you the space to spread out or find a nook in the garden to simply relax and unwind in. Some guests throw their plans out the window & spend their entire stay in the house & garden!
We try our absolute best to ensure staying at The Crest is as relaxing as it can be, adding to the whole holiday.

Relaxing with Friends & Family
The Crest is perfectly set up for a group of friends & family to get together; be it for two weeks or a lovely long weekend. We have plenty of inside and outside space so you’re not ‘on top’ of each other. Whether it’s a long summer night spent around the BBQ, or a cosy mid-winter evening relaxing in front of the log burner we’ve got it covered.

A Relaxing Walk or Three
After you’ve cooked a Full English why not go for a good walk? There are many glorious trails within the Meon Valley. My favourites include Beacon Hill Nature Reserve, which starts from the carpark there and drops down to Exton, and Winchester hill this a lovely scenic hearty walk and is accessible from the A32 just past Exton Link to Old Winchester Hill Walk ;

We have the forest of Bere right on our doorstep along the A32 towards Wickham. The Forest of Bere is a vast historic woodland which you can spend as short or long time as takes your can afford.
Hundred Acres woods is in another section of The forest of Bere and is found along the Southwick road just outside of Wickham (about 20 minutes drive from The Crest). Hundred Acres has 2 GREAT play areas for a wide range of ages and some really decent walking tracks and to top it off, it’s dog friendly.
Cycling in the Meon Valley
Are you are a cycling enthusiast? You will not be disappointed by the number of routed which sprout off of the A32.
